On the Greeks blocking the Gaza-bound flotilla (mentioned in the podcast), it's also worth mentioning that as Turkey began steering its foreign-policy course towards the Arab world, Israel immediately began trying to deepen its strategic and military alliance with Greece, playing on historical sensitivities in Greek-Turkish relations and on Israel's own strong military ties to the United States. Like India, Greece was historically sympathetic to the Arab world, but countries, like people, change.
