Ben Ali in La Goulette

I've written before about Tunisia's great get-out-the-vote initiatives. But the above video shows the best of all. What they did is restore a giant poster of Ben Ali that used to be a landmark of La Goulette, a suburb of Tunis. Passersby are astounded as they see it in the morning, and their stupefaction shifts to anger. They are being filmed by hidden cameras and don't know what's happening. Watch what they do, it's really clever.

It was a wonderful idea to re-spark people anger before the election.

Egyptians don't need a poster to cause a spark they got the military to flame their anger. The people should have shown the military the door when the first military trial happen now after soldiers murdered innocent protesters people must realize the military has got to go. We as a people can not afford to go backwards. The time for thinkers has come.

Dear Issandr

That is fantastic. Do you think that would work in Cairo, or other parts of Egypt? Do you think people would tear down the poster, or leave it there?

FYI, you seem to have small spam problem in your comments.
