Note-worthy

The trailer for the new film by the Palestinian director Elia Suleiman film looks as intriguing and steeped in deadpan satire as his previous work--watch to the end, there is a beautiful, impossible scene.

And I'm curious about this "rip-roaring and labyrinthine"--and seemingly very peculiar--novel set partly in Cairo.
