If there is one area of the Iranian political-clerical system that is more at odds with the tradition of Shi`ite theology it is the position of Supreme Leader: or the Guardian Cleric, as the translation should be. Khamenei is not senior at all among the clerics, and his Ayatullah treatise was rushed AFTER his designation, when Khumayni reversed his decision to designate Mountazari. I would expect that part of the Iranian republic to be the weakest link.

The dead-Red canal sounds like a dreadful idea.
Using the Sea of Galilee as Israel's reservoir for the last 60 years has meant hardly any water flow down the Jordan.
so -> The Dead Sea is shrinking, triggering all sort of environmental catastrophies
so -> human made intervention created problems? So why don't we "solve" them through even a bigger intervention - this megaprojet with god knows-what consequences.
