Abu Ghraib abuse photos 'show rape' - Telegraph

Abu Ghraib abuse photos 'show rape' - Telegraph
Explosive - these are the pictures Obama does not want released: "At least one picture shows an American soldier apparently raping a female prisoner while another is said to show a male translator raping a male detainee. Further photographs are said to depict sexual assaults on prisoners with objects including a truncheon, wire and a phosphorescent tube. Another apparently shows a female prisoner having her clothing forcibly removed to expose her breasts."

Personally, I think it's bad form to rely on the Telegraph as a sole source for something. It's basically a tabloid in broadsheet format.

I would saythats true of the Times, but the Telegraph tries to be the UK's paper of record (as opposed to beign scoop-driven like the others. Remember also it was the Telly that started the current MP's expenses scandal that's rocking British politics. It's a credible paper, and they have Gen. Taguba, the whistleblower who revealed and pushed the Abu Ghraib investigation, saying rape took place. So are you saying the Telegraph lied and fabricated the interview, or Gen. Taguba? The article you link sidestepped the issue of whether rape had taken place by simply saying (and getting a DoD quote) that photos of rape or sexual abuse do not exist - not that these did not take place.
