And did he cross from Egypt?

AP report in the NYT this morning said that Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade (a Fatah breakaway) was claiming it and claimed the bomber came from Ramallah.

Yellow Fatah flags flew outside the Gaza home of one of the attackers, 22-year-old Luay Laghwani, and Al Aqsa gunmen fired in the air in tribute to him. His sobbing mother, Ibtissam, held up a picture of him as a young teenager, while male relatives scolded her for crying, saying she should be proud her son was a martyr.

Other reports say al-Aqsa MB did it in collaboration with PFLP (!) and another little frontette from Gaza, and that they slipped in over the Sinai border.

So stupid it makes me wonder if there was method to the madness: it will bolster calls to seal the border and shame Hamas, and perhaps boost Fatah's anti-Israel cred in Gaza. On the other hand, Ramallah doesn't seem to control much of what the Brigades are doing, so perhaps not.

The sense I get is that Israel really wants to show the bomber came from Sinai, whereas Hamas really wants to show he didn't. The game is to define the meaning the of the border breach, or rather redefine it, in Israel's case.

Muslims Against Sharia condemn the murderers responsible for the homicide bombing in Dimona as well as degenerate perpetuation of the culture of death in Gaza.

Our prayers are with the victims of this atrocity. We send our condolences to their loved ones.

May the homicide bomber rot in hell for eternity. May his accomplices and animals who celebrated this horrendous act join him soon!

Muslims Against Sharia call on Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to shut down Al-Hayat al-Jadida, Al-Iyam and Al-Quds as terrorist mouthpieces that glorify homicide bombings. Failing to do so will show that Palestinian Authority's quest for peace is nothing more than empty words.
