Dial 113 for mukhabarat

MEMRI has this fantastic Iranian Ministry of Intelligence public information video on the American-Zionist conspiracy to pervert Iranian youth and what YOU (i.e. concerned Iranian patriotic citizen) can do about it. Watch it all now.

It's hilarious! It would be interesting to know, though, if anyone trusts Ministry of Intelligence public information videos.

I like the way John McCain is already in the White House, as a "senior White House official". Do they know something about the presidential election that we don't?

just a pedantic note: mukhabirat in persian refers to telecommunications, so that a public phone exchange for example, or a local office of the national/local telephone company would be called mukhabirat. the intelligence ministry, on the other hand, is referred to as vezarat-e ettela'at (more precisely perhaps, "information" ministry).

from what i have heard, this linguistic difference has caused some funny situations for iranians visiting arab countries, for example syria, and asking around for a phone exchange.
