YouTube now has a dedicated channel for al-Jazeera English's main shows. Very nice.

Whoa. The first video clip I clicked on started off by playing Ladytron's 'He Took Her to a Movie' and then segued to cute blond Brit hosting a review of not only Paul Verheoven's Holocaust movie but, after a few minutes, a screening of an Israeli movie about women soldiers. And then came a bit about scantily-clad Bollywood dancers. I guess they are trying real hard to cast an image different than Al Jazeera proper. Well I'm hooked.

Shame you can't subscribe to these videos via iTunes. (Or can you? Anyone know? I'm not up on youTube.)

Amanda Palmer (the cute blonde Brit) is Australian. The Fabulous Picture show, and many of AJE's other feature programming is fantastic. Wonderfully shot, diverse content. I hope they never give up features to make more room for rolling news.
