Hamas is a resistance movement

I've known that for a long time, so it was nice to see Condi say it. The Jews for Hillary, by the way, say that their favorite femme fatale would have never gotten away with it.

In fairness, I think she meant to say "rejectionist," since she was referring to Hamas' decision to avoid participation in the Palestinian Authority (until recently, that is).

Quote:Yeah, but let's look at where it really was in 2000, all right? You had Yasser Arafat, who I think now who had one foot in terror and one foot in politics. I would submit to you you were never going to get a Palestinian state and peace with Israel under those circumstances. ... It's also the case that you had at that time a Palestinian Authority that was overrun by corruption, overrun by its ties with terrorism. And you -- and strangely, you had Hamas, of course, sitting out as a http://www.state.gov/secretary/rm/2007/79038.htm" rel="nofollow">resistance movement, not at all, by the way, involved in the politics at all.

Hamas is also a resistance movement. But are you willing to disavow some of the more offensive aspects of its charter, such as the Elders of Sion bit? And what's your stance on terrorism as a tactic?

Both honest questions, by the way, I'm not a regular enough reader to know where you stand on these things.
