Off to Brussels
Issandr El AmraniI will be in Brussels for the next week, bringing some much-needed Arab advice on good governance to the people who were unable to form a coalition in SIX MONTHS. It is an initiative co-sponsored by Mahmoud Abbas and Ismail Haniyeh.
Blogging will be severely limited, as I expect Brussels has fallen to warring Waloon and Flemish factions and I will be busy avoiding projectile chocolate and beer, or blue oranges, or whatever it is that Belgians fight with.

We don't fight, we make fun of the political comedy and start wondering whether we really need a federal government. We seem to be doing fine without one. We have so many governments (6) that nobody really misses the federal one.
Enjoy your stay! (and if you read French newspapers like Le Soir, keep in mind that you won't get a balanced view on the situation if you only know what the press on one side of the linguistic border has to say)
