People who read this blog will know I am no great fan of Saudis and their morbid culture, or lack thereof.(Yes, not all of them, I know, allow me some artistic license here...)
Do you really need more explanation that their recent attempt to ban women from entering the great mosque at Mecca (cutting with all Islamic precedent) or this man who lingers in a jail because he once joked about Muhammad's penis?
It's not only that they are intolerant bigots, but also that they are incredibly stupid. This picture had me rolling on the floor in laughter for a good 10 minutes:

It's hard to dispute the fact that Saudi Arabia is the most racist/bigoted country on this planet.

yes, their culture is so weird... they will tell you that drinking alcohol is haram, but when they go out of the Kingdom, they'll indeed the first people who'll get drunk!

The photo is surely funny (could have been anywhere in the Arab world) but I felt a hint of a generalized dislike (hate is a strong word) to all of Saudi Arabia without a distinction. Saudi government is one of the most incompetant and tyranic but the people of Saudi Arabia are one of the best arab population. They rally and support every Muslim and Arab cause including Palestine.
The reason this irritates me is because I meet many arabs stereotyping others, I've met so far people utterly hate Sudanese, Egyptians, Jordanians without any attempt to distiguish the government, population and the few bad apples.
Yes it is a very funny picture. I would say too good to be true. Just I am surprised none of the ladies -or may the guys in the picture are wearing gloves as any veiled woman supposed to do. I think it is probably a staged or fake picture, but still makes the point about the moral hypocrisy of the Saudis society.

I think the staged war of religions can not be shown better. Money makes the world go around and I can here the angels whisper, "come on, your soul is living for ever, so sit this one out."

It's not dislike of individual Saudis, as much as it is dislike of the government for its hypocrasy in how and what it supports, in addition to its repressive tactics and the re-writing of one of the suras on the right of the people to overthrow leaders who do not lead properly. It is also dislike of Saudi behavior when they travel because many Saudis believe that they can buy anything and anyone - that the mere fact that they are Saudi assures that they and their vices will be well-treated, that the world bends before them.

I agree with the first part of what you said, the Saudi government is undoubtedly bad (though not worse than Jordan, Egypt, Syria ...) but your generalization about the Saudi Population is what i've a big problem with. Saudi Arabians have wealth and poor like anywhere else, there's poverty there and over 30% unemployment, I don't where you got the perception they can buy anything! I meet Arabs who dislike Egyptians, others who dislike Sudanese and other who hate Omanis ... that's self defeate.

Don't you know that all this inter-arab self hatred is perpetrated on the Arab world by the Jews and the Christians? That's how they keep you under their thumb!

With all your hatred of each other (what "true" Arab has never said that "the palistinians are the dogs of the arab world") what do almost all muslim arabs have in common?
You're all willing to tell THE OTHER GUY to send his kids to blow up innocent Christian, Jewish (and "other" muslim!) women and children.

I lived in SA for one year, and the only thing I regret is not having a ready camera at many times, I thought I will stay longer so I kept saying I will take pics later.
I saw and experienced many episodes like this.
