Call for Washington demo on 25 May

Washington-based regular Arabist reader SP wants to organize a 25 demo in DC. Please post in the comments if anybody is interested and she'll get back to you.

Come on people, a demo in Washington is important. I know a lot of you who read this site live there. Some of you have influence in certain academic, journalistic and policy circles. Get out there.
Which reminds me: SP, I can email you the email addresses of the people who post here if they don't want to leave them out in the comments.
A demo in DC is sure a good idea. We need all the solidarity we can get down here in Cairo. It's impressive how Zahran, and other activists abroad are organizing those chain demos in Canada, US, and the UK, via the internet. Good job guys..!

Would very much appreciate the emails. For those reading, does 12:30 or 1 p.m. on Thu in front of the Egyptian embassy press and info centre (Conn Ave) rather than embassy nafsuhu sound good? I figured Conn Av (near Farragut) is a more visible site than the godawful cul de sac of the Embassy.
