Kifaya Website Down

Kifaya's Website is not working this morning.

Whether this is a temporary glitch in the system or because the government has taken it down is undetermined at this time.

The Arabist will monitor and update the situation.

UPDATE:

The Website is backup for now.

I wonder how far they'll take it. Will they eventually block access to this site and to blogspot.com!!

this doesn't look like government interference, anyone knows who is their webmaster I might be able to help.

Alaa, what do you think it might be?

Someone who lives in Jerusalem and reads this site mailed me last week to say they were not able to access it. But I was able to until two or three days ago.

The Kefaya website is accessible now. I guess it could've been traffic overload.

I can access the Arabic main site. The english sections seems to be either blocked or very slow.

I can't confirm this but I think they where moving hosts after the sudden increase in traffic knocked them out.

its typical to have 48 hours of confussion when changing the DNS records of websites.

the problem is the kefaia webteam do not have competent techies on board, I and others offered to help and we'll be meeting soon.

Alaa, while you're at it. Could you please also ask them to stop making those published articles they post blink like that.
