Saadawi runs for prez

After Saad Eddin Ibrahim, it's firebrand feminist Nawal Saadawi's turn to run for president of Egypt. She has no chance of course, even if the elections were free, but the thought is nice.

Constitutionally, only Muslims are allowed to be presidents of the country. Given her ideas about Islam, I doubt she'd qualify.

Nawal Saadawi lost all her credebility even with many progressive thinkers, when she started venturing into too many irrelevant topics to the Egyptian society... she's practically nuts now look at her lol.

I agree that she's nuts -- having interviewed her several times I can confirm -- but I still like the fact that she's doing it. As for not considering her a Muslim, I think that privately she probably isn't (she's a Marxist-atheist) but who's to say who is a good Muslim anyway? Hosni certainly isn't.
