US activist to be deported

Travis Randall, a US citizen and one of the activists involved in the To Gaza March, has been stopped by the police at Cairo's International Airport, arriving from London. His laptop has been confiscated, and he awaits deportation. (You may notice there are increasing cases of police stealing laptops of passengers in airports. Remember, schools r starting soon, and those poor pigs also have kids who deserve some Back2School gifts.)

The US Embassy in Cairo, as usual, did nothing... and I'd be interested in hearing what Mr. Yes-We-Can in DC has to say about this.

no one should travel with laptop anymore anyway, seems, unless we locally put pressure on European community, cause local, it will be a waste of time.
Our bus, on the way to LA HAYE was stopped by custom duty police and held after identity check for around 45 minutes. Fortunately, press was waiting for the meeting and since the lawyer was in second bus, they waited for him, but since the room for meeting was scheduled for one hour, it shortened the meeting for at least 1/2 hour. Small room, most of us stayed outside. Then in front of court, we tempted a short meeting behind the bars, surrounded by dutch cops.
